Cooking with Stan
Stan is OUR man! After a fabulous 2008 –2009 season of three cooking events, Master Chef Stanley Karp returns to share recipes and cooking tips for creating a special dining experience for someone you love. He will focus on appetizers, food presentation, and a little chocolate. There will be lots of tasting, talk, and tantalizing recipes.

Talking to Each Other
Dr. Karen Gail Lewis, a therapist and expert on relationships and communication will present a talk based on her recent book : “You Just Don’t Understand Me…a Gender Relationship Dictionary.” Her talk will be humorous and solution oriented.

Yiddish Tales and Talk
Ira Segalawitz is well known at Temple Beth Or and in the larger Jewish community for his expertise in Yiddish language, humor, and stories. He will entertain and enlighten with folk tales, especially the rich tales of Sholom Aleichem. Expect to learn a little Yiddish yourself and have a lot of laughs.

The Elephant in the Living Room
Those who met Richelle Frabotta at the Therapy Café know that she is a delightful and informative speaker who enables rewarding discussion of a sometimes difficult subject: human sexuality. She will give a morning program geared to those who are parenting children. Richelle is a certified sexuality educator and has expertise in adolescent growth and development, parenting for healthy relationships, clear communication, risk reduction, critical thinking, and accepting responsibility. She will guide parents with the hope that their children will be gifted with healthy and safe adult sexuality. Her support and information will be an asset to any parent.

Take Me out to the Ball Game
Mel Marmer, a lifetime baseball fan, will share information and stories about the Jews in baseball from the beginning of time. His information comes from a two-day symposium on the history of the Jews in Major League Baseball at the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, NY. Mel will bring a 60 minute PowerPoint presentation that he created. He has done this class in Ohio and six other states. His enthusiasm for the subject is contagious.
